Budapests Gellert geo thermal baths are the closest thing to how i imagine an Imperial Roman bath to have looked
Gellért Thermal Baths and Swimming Pool, also called Gellért fürdo or Gellért Baths, is one of the most beautiful and elegant baths in Budapest, built between 1912 and 1918 in the (Secession) Art Nouveau style. They were damaged during World War II, but then rebuilt. References to healing waters in this location are found from as early as the 13th century. A hospital was located on this site during the Middle Ages. During the reign of the Ottoman Empire, baths were also built on this particular site.

glass swimming pool
This is a classic case of an ambitious architectural gesture with utterly pedestrian execution. a glass swimming pool over an entrance is a spectacular thing, unfortunately the surrounding structure looks like a freeway overpass.
Angkor Wat 1000 year old pool
Maybe this is the oldest pool in our world
The Glass Pool Inn
A lovely quirky Vegas landmark that was recently demolished. The glass pool in had portals that could be seen from the road.
A South Strip landmark for years, the Glass Pool Inn hosted scores of television and film crews. Its above-ground pool was meant to function as a sort of billboard, to beckon travelers from the highway. It was recently torn down to build some other “themed” piece of shit.
Rooftop pool by OMA
The client wanted a glass house with a swimming pool on the roof and two separate “apartments” - one for the parents, the other for the daughter. They also wanted a panoramic view - from their swimming pool - of the surrounding landscape and the city of Paris. The house is conceived as a glass pavilion containing living and dining areas, with two hovering, perpendicular apartments shifted in opposite directions to exploit the view. They are joined by the swimming pool which rests on the concrete structure encased by the glass pavilion.
