Sports Car made out of Old Car Parts by Pete Golsby

Sports Car made out of Old Car Parts by Pete Golsby

This is not an ordinary sports car, it's made out entirely from an old car parts and the cool and amazing thing is the people who build this Sports car is a 68 years old blind man!. how can he build such an amazing car when he can't see anything? The best answer is if someone has a dream he will try his best to achieve it, that's why Pete golsby could make this cool sports car.

Pete Golsby might be a 68 years old blind man but that didn't stop him from pursuing his lifelong dream to build his own two-seater sports car from scratch. The old man was taken aback when he was told to be turned blind 12 years ago. But hats off to the spirit and will of the old man that didn't stop him from fulfilling his dream. It took a lot of time and effort, around five years, to build the car. The only shortcoming being his inability to drive it himself after putting in so much hard work.

Golsby took the help of magnifiers and visual aids in assembling the silver-colored Pembleton Brooklands. His constant inspiration and help was his wife Hazel, aged 66, who assisted and informed him in case things were not on the right track. The old man used old motorbike's engine, car parts donated by friends to assemble it.

Golsby told that it makes him feel very proud to be able to achieve this feat even after facing innumerable hurdles. It successfully passes the Ministry Of Transport test and is currently waiting for Single Vehicle Assessment, so that it can be driven on roads. Golsby might not be able to drive the car but he's happy that he can share some memorable moments with Hazel on his custom built two-seater sports car.

F1 Racing Car Made Out of Motorcycle Part

F1 Racing Car Made Out of Motorcycle Part

This Cool F1 Style Racing car was made out of a motorcycle part, yesterday we have Tang zhengping who made a cool Wind Powered Car, and now there's a man named Ye Yousong from Songyang Town an eastern China's Zhejiang Province Made this awesome F1 Racing Car style.

Ye Yousong took help from photos of a real F1 car as His main Ideas. He used 30 bikes and it took him about three months to complete this amazing car. The car is fully functional with all gear set, single seating, one headlight, thin tires, suspension and a spoiler at the behind completes it all. But actually The car can't go as fast as the real F1 Car but the design states that the work is amazing.

What next? Maybe in the future there's a guy who can make a Yacht from Scraps :D just kidding. What do you think of Ye Yousong Cool F1 Style Racing Car?

Wind Powered Car by Tang Zhengping

Wind Powered Car by Tang Zhengping

This Chinese guy has made a cool wind powered car which can reach speeds of nearly 90mph. this car measures 3m Long, stands just 1m tall and took just 3 months to design and build. wow it's pretty fast. The inventor also said that his Wind Powered Car batteries could last longer than any other electric car. Wow It's really amazing!!.

This Cool Wind Powered Car was build by Chinese farmer Tang Zhengping out of his love for electronic gadgets. Mr Zhengping Creates this efficient but quirky blue vehicle on his house.

The car is powered by a combination of batteries and electric generators, supplying power to the wheels via an electric motor. The large spinning fan at the front rotates when the car is in motion - due to air hitting the blades - providing energy to charge the batteries or support electricity generation. In addition to the front fan, the car also uses 'solar energy wings' to store up power.

The car's twin generators and batteries charge in turn, while the other is powering the vehicle. According to Zhengping, the car's maximum speed is 140kph - that's 87mph.

How far the wind-powered vehicle would actually travel at those speeds without needing a recharge - and how long it would take to get there - is open to debate, however. Zhengping reckons his electric creation 'lasts longer than a normal electric car, which usually doesn't have generators.'

With the car's fan and wings providing extra electricity when in motion, the vehicle's batteries only need charging every two to three days, according to the Chinese farmer.

There's no 'official' measured range yet, but even driving moderate distances, a recharge only every two to three days is pretty impressive. Its range might be better than a Nissan LEAF then (don't take our word for it though), but it certainly isn't as practical as the Japanese EV.

The wind-powered car is only a single seater, and with no roof and a decidedly home-built feel, we're not sure Mr Zhengping's creation would be the safest of vehicles on the chaotic roads of Beijing.

With potential for high-voltage electricity to be coursing through the chassis if Zhengping hasn't got his wiring right, we think we'd probably stick to more conventional electric, range-extending and hybrid vehicles.

Solar Powered Car by Zhu Zhenlin

Solar Powered Car by Zhu Zhenlin

This is truly cool solar car concept, a chinese student named Zhu Zhenlin has made this solar powered for his personal use. Zhu Zhenlin is a student from Xiangshan Technical School in China. The car can run at up to 70 kilometers once fully charged, which is extraordinary by a student's standards.

As quoted from ChinaDaily this smart Chinese student spent almost $2,378 to make this amazing solar powered car. Zhu kept all specifications in mind while making it an accelerator, brake, steering wheel, steering lights and rearview mirrors are perfectly placed for best handling. The solar car measures 3.2 meters in length, 1.4 meters width and 1.4 meters height. 22 typical solar panels are placed on hood, roof and trunk. To power the car there are six 12-volt batteries positioned in the trunk.

Hope that his skill in making a working solar powered car could be useful for future transportation. he's really brilliant. while many people still think about how to produce an electric car this guy has made awesome breakthrough with his solar powered car.

Kick Activated Tailgate on All new Ford Kuga 2012

Kick Activated Tailgate on All new Ford Kuga 2012

Ford has unveiled a new technology for their all new ford kuga 2012, now with this kick activated tailgate you can open the back door easily just by kicking the bottom of the car's rear bumper and trunk door will open automatically and do the same to close it again, so do not have hands anymore.

This Hand's free Automatic Tailgate at all new Ford Kuga cars can overcome many common problems such as when you're carrying lots of luggage in hand, the edges of goods must be lowered first, open the trunk and grab the stuff and put it into the trunk.

The designers of the ‘kick start’ boot, have used existing technology for car doors, known as key-less entry, and taken it a step further.

The conventional key-less entry system allows drivers with a key or a credit-card sized electronic tag to unlock their car and start it without having to take it out of their pocket or purse. How This system works? The car does this by sending out a constant signal scanning the area around its perimeter.

When its key comes within a couple of yards of the vehicle, the signal ‘asks’ the electronic key or key card for an electronic password and the key gives it.

The kick start boot uses the same system, but under the back of the car. Once the car has recognised its key, all a motorist has to do is approach the boot with bags in hand, extend a foot as if making a gentle kick so that the shoe goes under the bumper, and hey presto, the boot opens.

The same applies in reverse for lifting bags or bulky objects out of the boot. A quick kick under the bumper and the boot closes. The system is called the ‘kick-activated automatic tailgate’, and Ford revealed it perfected the system with the help of volunteer ‘kickers’ over six months of testing. The system safeguards against accidental opening by being programmed to open only with leg motions but not when an animal runs under the car or when the vehicle hits a bump on the road.

Check out the footage video below about How the Kick Activated tailgate system works on Ford all new kuga 2012.

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta the Fastest Ferrari Ever build

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta the Fastest Ferrari Ever build

This is Ferrari f12 berlinetta, it was claimed that this is the fastest Ferrari ever build. Ferrari F12 Berlinetta will bring a 6266cc engine, V12, 740hp, and it can be driven up to a maximum speed reaches 340 km/h. Pretty fast right? This cool amazing Ferrari berlinetta also has an awesome acceleration. it could takes only 3,1 Seconds to reach 100km/h from the start. while 0-200 km/h could be reach in just 8.5 seconds.

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta was claimed as the sexiest new car, It' would Replacing the 599, the F12 heralds a new generation of ultra-swift V12 engines that will power the latest Enzo in 2013. In terms of the body shape the Ferrari f12 berlinetta is Shorter and narrower than the 599, there’s an F1-style dual-clutch gearbox, much lower centre of gravity and aluminum spaceframe body, which make it 20 per cent lighter than its predecessor.

Even this car could reach a maximum 340km/h but thanks to the new ferrari technology new system has a less braking distance. There is a new technology in this car is called Active Brake Cooling system where the temperature of the disc brake has reached the optimal temperature, the automatic will be cooled to keep the brakes still work fine.

There’s an Aero Bridge, which channels air in and out of the vents along the car, active brake cooling to lower the temperature on the carbon ceramic rotors, and almost as many ECUs, computers and electronic aids as Fernando Alonso’s F2012 F1 car.

On the other hand it also makes the system less braking distance. For example, to make the car stop from a speed of 100 km/h takes a distance of about 10 m but can be shorter.

So how about the price of this Ferrari f12 berlinetta? You can Order books open at the Geneva show for about £250k.

How Google Autonomous Vehicle works

How Google Autonomous Vehicle works

Google Autonomous vehicle was a cool amazing invention in automotive industry today, This self driving car from Google could became one of the greatest invention this decade, Google's fleet of Toyota Priuses Robotic has now recorded more than 190,000 miles ( 300,000 kilometers ), driving in city traffic, a busy highway, and the mountain road with only occasional human intervention. The project is still far from being commercial, but Google has set up a demonstration system on campus, using a golf cart without a driver, which points to the way how technology can turn into transportation, even in the near future.

Stanford University Professor " Sebastian Thrun ", which guide the project and engineers Google " Chris Urmson " that discusses this and other details in a keynote address at the IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems in San Francisco last month.

Thrun and Urmson explains about how this google autonomous vehicle works and showed a video of the test drive, including footage of what is " seen" on a computer on-board and how to detect other vehicles, pedestrians, and traffic lights.

Urmson, who led the technology for the project, said that "the heart of our system " is a laser range finder mounted on the roof of the car. Apparatuses, a 64- VELODYNE laser beam, producing detailed 3D maps on the environment. The car was then combines laser measurement with high resolution map of the world, producing various types of data models that allow for the drive itself while avoiding obstacles and respecting traffic laws.

Vehicles also carry other sensors, which include: four radar mounted on the front and rear bumpers that allow the car to "see " far enough to be able to deal with fast traffic on the highway, the camera is positioned near the rear -view mirrors that detect traffic lights, and GPS, inertial measurement units and an encoder wheel that determines the location of the vehicle and track its movement.

There's two amazing approach from google autonomous vehicle, First, it relies on very detailed maps of roads and terrain, Urmson says that it is very important to determine accurately in which the car. Using only GPS -based techniques.

The second thing, before sending a self-driving car on the road driving test, Google engineers first drove along the route of one or more than once to collect data about the environment. When the autonomous vehicle 's turn to drive himself, he will compare the data obtained to the data previously recorded, an approach that is useful to distinguish pedestrians from stationary objects such as poles and mailboxes.

Video above shows the results at one point, where you can see a car stopped at an intersection. After the light turns green, the car started to turn left, but if there is a pedestrian crossing would not be a problem because the car will stop for pedestrians, and even for those who decide to cross at the last minute.

Sometimes and somehow, the car should be more " aggressive. " When going through a four-way junction, for example, overtaking other vehicles based on the rules of the road, but if the other car did not return, it is little progress to show his intentions to other drivers. Without such programming such behavior, it is impossible for cars to drive the robot in the real world, Urmson said.

The Google engineers have a lot of fun when viewing fast forward to the speed of cars through the Google parking lot, tires squealing at every turn with a time of 13 minutes, and Urmsonpun smiling broadly.

But the project has a serious side. Thrun and his Google colleagues, including co -founder Larry Page and Sergey Brin, believe that this smart vehicle could help make transportation safer and more efficient. This car will be pushed closer to each other, making better use of 80 percent to 90 percent free space on the road, and also set up a fast convoy on the highway. They will react more quickly than humans to avoid an accident, potentially saving thousands of lives. Making intelligent vehicles will require a lot of computing power and data, and that is why it makes sense for Google to go back to the project, said Thrun.

Urmson describes another scenario they imagined. Vehicles will be a shared resource, a service that people will use when needed. You've just touched on a smartphone, and an autonomous car will appear where you are, ready to drive you anywhere. And you will just sit and relax or do work.

He said that they collect video that showed a Caddy concept called Beta that shows the idea of shared vehicle - in this case, an autonomous fleet of golf carts. He said the golf car is simpler than Priuses in terms of sensors and on-board computer. In fact, the train can communicate with sensors in the environment to determine their location and "see " incoming traffic.

"This is one way we look at future technologies. It really makes better transport, making it more efficient, "

World's First Super Bus a Breakthrough in Mass Transportation

World's First Super Bus a Breakthrough in Mass Transportation

This is the World's first superbus ever. this cool looking bus could reach top speed of 155mph (250kmh)!!. It's really an amazing speed for a mass public transportation. this super bus was crafted with state-of-the-art materials which seats 23 passengers. This cool shaped bus will travel from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. If we look closer to their shape i can say it's more like a limousine than a bus. but it still a cool breakthrough in mass public transportation.

This Superbus was Developed in Holland by an astronaut and a former Formula One aerodynamics expert, the midnight-blue, electric-powered vehicle costs £7million and was flown to the United Arab Emirates where it will be used by a sheikh.

The hi-tech bus means he will be able to complete the 75-mile commute from Dubai to neighbouring Abu Dhabi in under 30 minutes. Made of lightweight materials including aluminium, carbon fibre, fibreglass and polycarbonate, it is 49ft long (15 metres), 8ft wide (2.5 metres) and 5ft 5in high (1.65 metres).

Passengers will be able to enjoy comfort equal to that of a luxury limousine or private jet. The super bus has eight gullwing-style doors on each side to allow for a swift exit. It has been developed at the Delft University of Technology in Holland under the direction of Professor Wubbo Ockels who in 1985 became the first Dutchman in space when he was part of the team on board the space shuttle Challenger.

The project was backed by the Dutch government, American chemicals company Dow and the Saudi conglomerate Sabic. The first commercial interest came from the UAE where the super bus was flown in a jumbo jet.

It was tested for the first time on ordinary roads around Abu Dhabi Airport, its batteries fired up by solar power. The wealthy owner of the super bus plans to travel on normal roads and at normal speeds in the region while it picks up passengers in either Abu Dhabi or Dubai.

However once it leaves the city, the vehicle is able to switch to a dedicated concrete track which runs parallel to the motorway and accelerate to a cruising speed of around 150mph. As it approaches its destination, it would once again slow to rejoin the ordinary road network.

Project designer Antonia Terzi, former chief aerodynamics expert at the BMW Williams Formula One team, made the first test drive in Abu Dhabi. She said it drove 'just like a car', thanks to two sets of manoeuvrable rear wheels which helps it around corners. If the super bus went into service, there would be no set routes or schedules.

Ms Terzi said: 'Commuters would book online or with their mobile phone and one of a fleet of buses would pick them up and drop them wherever they wanted.'

Abu Dhabi ’s traffic police chief Brigadier General Hussein al Harethi said: 'Electrically-powered vehicles like this would not only alleviate traffic congestion but reduce air pollution. Electric vehicles are the transportation methods of today and we want to see more of them.'

Dubai Roads and Transport Authority director Peyman Younes Parham added: 'It’s a brilliant idea. It’s not something we could use as a public transportation vehicle but it would be a great driver for executive commuting and for tourism.'
