Hyper Realistic Police Training Simulator

Hyper Realistic Police Training Simulator

Have you imagine if there's a cool hyper realistic police training simulator? I thought that this kind of stuff was never exist but thanks to the today's technology now every police could train to be a better policeman by playing this VirTra 300 LE Simulator. It's a Video Simulator for police training that can actually be considered as a replacement to real world tactics. The simulator provides 300-degree HD video environment and a surround-sound system for police training. It provides all kind of circumstances and levels of difficulty to the trainee so that he can perform better in every situation in real life. I suppose it must be better than this FPS Simulator.

The VirTra 300 LE Hyper Realistic Police Training Simulator also consists of an instructor who can command the virtual men in the video or the real trainees. Chosen to be called as most advanced system available for law enforcement. The High Definition video quality of the simulator does not use just a single screen system, rather focuses on multiple screen displays (See the image below). The simulator also consists of heavy metal concert level sound system above and below the platform and also on behind all the five life-sized screens. (see also another cool simulators such as this Virtual Ski Simulator)

VirTra 300 LE High quality video is quiet good to read the human behavior: subtle eye movements, hand movements and facial expressions are interpreted accurately. Virtual enemies are thrilled to shoot trainees and build a plot against them, they also communicate with each other and make their moves wisely.

Even this Hyper Realistic Police Training Simulator are specially designed to train the police but the simulator can be accessed by civilians at the Gander Mountain Academy in Lakeland, Florida.

Eadward J. Muybridge Google Doodle

Eadward J. Muybridge Google Doodle

Today there's a different things on Google homepage, yes Google made another cool playable doodle to celebrate eadward J muybridge 182nd birthday. You can press the yellow start button in the middle of google logo and see how it works. who is eadward muybridge? As far as i know he's well known as the first inventor of the moving picture, Eadward J. Muybridge is Responsible for the zoopraxiscope in 1879, Muybridge used the stop-motion projection display to prove that all four of a horses’ hoofs leave the ground while they’re running.

According to Wikipedia, Eadward J. Muybridge was an English photographer of Dutch ancestry who spent much of his life in the United States. He is known for his pioneering work on animal locomotion which used multiple cameras to capture motion, and his zoopraxiscope, a device for projecting motion pictures that pre-dated the flexible perforated film strip.

Muybridge’s invention became the inspiration for Thomas Edison (who holds the patent for the motion picture camera), Philip Glass (who wrote an opera in 1982 based on Muybridge’s murder trial), the music video for the song “Lemon” by U2 (“A man makes a picture – a moving picture/Through light projected he can see himself up close“), and the slow motion bullet special effect in the movie The Matrix.

Muybridge wasn’t only interested in how horses moved; the scientist also looked at other animals, including the more lumbering bison. His motion display technology was also used for entertainment, such as stop-motion footage of dancing, with a series of lectures at the Chicago 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition recorded as the first commercial movie theater.

The Oldest Living Organism is a Giant Posidonia Oceanica Seagrass

The world's oldest living organism is Posidonia Oceanica seagrass, the scientist has discovered the 200,000 years old seagrass in the Mediterranean. This giant patches of seagrass surpass the tasmanian plant which is "only" 43,000 year-old. According to the scientist this nine mile wide stretch of Posidonia Oceanica Seagrass began its life when humans first emerged in the late Pleistocene era.

Posidonia Oceanica or also known as Neptune Grass or Mediterranean tapeweed is a seagrass species that is endemic to the Mediterranean Sea. It forms large underwater meadows that are an important part of the ecosystem. The fruit is free floating and known in Italy as 'the olive of the sea' (l'oliva di mare). Balls of fibrous material from its foliage, known as egagropili, wash up to nearby shorelines.

The scientist calculated the age of the plants from DNA tests on clumps gathered from the seafloor between Spain and Cyprus

This Giant Posidonia oceanica seagrass which is claimed as the oldest living organism on earth was Weighing 6,000 tons and stretching for 10 miles, the seagrass patches reproduce asexually and spread very slowly, eventually covering large areas. A key attribute to their longevity is their ability to store nutrients in their long branches, Professor Carlos Duarte from the University of Western Australia told the Telegraph.

This Giant Posidonia Oceanica Seagrass grows so large and lives so long because it has few native competitors and no major predators in the marine habitat. The extensive subsea meadows support some of the most valuable ecosystems on the planet.

Despite the organism’s ability to survive in harsh conditions, scientists believe the seagrass is nevertheless declining, something scientists blame on global climate change.

Transparency Cloak an Invisibile Cloak with Projection Tech by Japanese Scientist

Transparency Cloak an Invisibile Cloak with Projection Tech by Japanese Scientist

An Invisibile cloak? it seems that the invisibility cloak on harry potter stories will come true. a japanese scientist make a cool amazing invention by making a transparent cloak with the projection technology, Dr. Susumu Tachi with his projection tech research has made a wearable gadget that he calls as the “transparency cloak”.

The professor at Keio University and University of Toyko has devised a retro reflective projection technology, which uses a sensitive micro-camera and a fabric made of tiny light reflective beads. In demonstrations, a hooded cloak is used and the camera captures the scene behind a wearer. A computer does the “science part” and the scene is projected onto the fabric which from an angle becomes camouflaged in its environment – making the wearer virtually invisible. Lines and folds in the material can still be seen and the image isn’t crystal clear, as viewed by the naked eye, but it’s still the closest the world has got to a true invisibility cloak!

Dr Tachi intends to use the technology to eliminate blind spots in cars and plane cockpits, the sensitive cameras would be affixed to the exterior of the vehicle and the cloaking gear would display what the camera sees increasing the wide field of vision and allowing a driver or pilot to see what was previously un-seeable.

You can watch about how the Transparency Cloak Works

Transparency Cloak an Invisibile Cloak with Projection Tech by Dr. Susumu Tachi is truly an amazing stuff that will exist in the near future.

Gliese 581g a Planet that Just Like Earth

Gliese 581g a Planet that Just Like Earth

Gliese 581g is an exoplanet located far away from earth, the scientist has discovered this planet was looks just like our Earth. According to the scientist this planet was potentially habitable planet which has an environment much similar to that of Earth and may contain water and even life.

Gliese 581g is located around 123 trillion miles away from Earth and orbits a star at a distance that places it squarely in the habitable or the Goldilocks zone, the scientists said. Here's the news of this Newly discovered planet like earth the Gliese 581G.

The research, published in a paper published in the Astrophysical Journal, suggests that the planet could contain liquid water on its surface, meaning it tops the league of planets and moons rated as being most like Earth, they said.

"Our findings offer a very compelling case for a potentially habitable planet said Vogt," said lead researcher Steven Vogt, a professor of astronomy and astrophysics at the University of California.

"The fact that we were able to detect this planet so quickly and so nearby tells us that planets like this must be really common," Vogt said. The new findings are based on 11 years of observations of the nearby red dwarf star Gliese 581. The team reported the discovery of two new planets around Gliese 581.

This brings the total number of known planets around this star to six, the most yet discovered in a planetary system outside of our own. Like our solar system, the planets around Gliese 581 have nearlycircular orbits, the team said.

It found that Gliese 581g has a mass three to four time the Earth's and orbits its star in just under 37 days. Its mass indicates that it is probably a rocky planet with a definite surface and enough gravity to hold on to an atmosphere, they said. PTI.
