List of Website that affected by SOPA and PIPA


How many big sites closed down due to SOPA and PIPA? a week ago most of big site in the internet strike SOPA with blackout and several day ago one of the biggest online file sharing site megaupload was shut down due to SOPA and PIPA, today i got a list of file sharing website that affected by SOPA and PIPA, apart from that i also hear about the OPEN act the replacement of SOPA and PIPA. OPEN Act secures two fundamental principles. First, Americans have a right to benefit from what they've created. And second, Americans have a right to an open internet. Our duty is to protect these rights. That's why congressional Republicans and Democrats came together to write the OPEN Act. you can read further about OPEN act on Wikipedia pages here.

Megaupload - Closed, domain ceased by FBI Jan 19, 2012

Fileserve - Account deletion and affiliation program terminating Jan 20, 2012

File Jungle - (Owned by Fileserve) Deleting multiple files. Testing out blocking some USA IP addresses. Jan 21, 2012

Upload Station - (Owned by Fileserve) Deleting multiple files. Testing out blocking some USA IP addresses. Jan 21, 2012

VideoBB - Closed affiliate program Jan 21, 2012

4shared Deleting files left and right Jan 21, 2012

VideoZer - closed and locked in the countries affiliated with the USA Jan 21, 2012

Uploaded - Banned U.S. and the FBI went after the owners who are gone. Blocked in the USA Jan 22, 2012

Filesonic - No Filesharing, the news is arbitrary (under FBI investigation, strictly private for the time being Jan 22, 2012

Filepost - Started suspending accounts with infringing material Jan 22, 2012

Videobb - Closed affiliate program. Jan 22, 2012

Wupload Many accounts disabled.

    I don`t understand. Why? I mean did SOPA stop on Jan 20th, didn`t it? if so, what is this list? Can anybody explain?

    This just to prove that the bill was not needed and that usa think they own the hole of the internet yes they may stop the internet as most ppl see it but in all truth you only see 5% of the real web the other 95% is the deep web and that is somthing there never stop and somthing im not willing to talk about as its a hole new ball game but as i have said the us goverment dont like it as many other goverments have different rules online piracy will still be around and always will be the war has only just begun
